Australian Navy Ships in Miniature

The Army Museum of Western Australia will hold a display of Australian Navy ships in miniature from 06 April to 22 May 2025. The ships cover most of the conflicts Australians have been involved in from WW1, WW2, Vietnam and UN operations. They will be displayed within the museum’s galleries applicable to that conflict to show how the two forces worked together for the collective good

The models have been kindly loaned to the museum by Mr. Gerry Westenburg (pictured), a well-known Perth model maker and RAN enthusiast who has produced over 120 model ships to the scale of 1/16 inches (1:192).

The models cover most of the conflicts that Australia has been involved in and will be displayed in the museum’s galleries that are applicable to the conflict they served in.

We are open from Wednesday to Friday and Sundays from 10:00am to 03:00pm with the last entry being at 01:30pm.
