THE CENTENARY OF ARMISTICE LUNCH – 11 NOVEMBER 201820 October 2018
It is only three weeks until Remembrance Day.
This is such an important one, being the Centenary of Armistice.
It will be a "once in a one hundred year event” and an opportunity to commemorate our World War I forebears in a very fitting manner. The focus on this lunch is totally on the Centenary of Armistice.
Our Governor is attending, the Department of Veterans’ Affairs is providing a visual display of WWI and the Army Cadet Pipes and Drums will play.
A tram is being provided to make it easier to park and get to the venue. The tram will run along May Drive and provide a regular shuttle service.
This is a wonderful opportunity to invite your family, your friends and your neighbours. It is an opportunity for your children and grandchildren, other family and friends to experience what will be a memorable commemoration.
Thank you to those who have already registered. We are two-thirds the way towards filling the State Reception Centre, but we want it full for such an important event.
Please personally invite as many as you can and make a very big effort to ensure the State Reception Centre is filled.
